Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Book My Market, operated by Roaming Travelers (California, United States). Installing the app means you accept them.

What the app does

Book My Market lets you sell vending spaces at your market through your own Shopify store: you draw your site plan, the app builds a Shopify product with one variant per space per market day, and vendors book by picking a space on a map. It also gives your staff and vendors a roster showing who is trading where, outside Shopify admin.

Plans and payment

Every new install begins with a 14-day free trial with all features enabled, counted from the day you install. Choose a paid plan during the trial and it is first billed when the trial ends; if you have not chosen one by then, your store moves to the Free plan. Switching to Free before the trial ends costs nothing. The plans:

Charges are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice in USD, every 30 days, and are handled entirely by Shopify’s billing system. We never see or store your payment details. Prices exclude any taxes Shopify collects.

You may cancel at any time from the Plan screen. Cancelling ends the subscription immediately and moves you to the Free plan; Shopify does not refund a part-used period, and neither do we. Your map, spaces, bookings and settings are kept — only paid features stop. If your map has more spaces than the Free plan allows, it is preserved but you cannot create new market products until it is within the limit.

We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email to installed merchants. Shopify requires you to approve any increase before it takes effect.

Your responsibilities

• Your vendors’ data is yours. You decide what to collect and you are responsible for telling your vendors how it is used, and for having a lawful basis to collect it. That includes documents such as seller’s permits and insurance certificates.
• Passcodes. The roster is protected by passcodes you set and distribute. Keep the Admin View passcode to the people who run your market — it opens vendor contact details and documents. Anyone you give it to can see them.
• Accuracy. Space names, prices, dates and availability are yours to set. We do not verify them.
• Lawful use. Do not use the app to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or attempt to reach another merchant’s data.

Document retention

Vendor documents are deleted 90 days after the last market day they apply to. This is deliberate and cannot be turned off — holding someone else’s business paperwork longer than the market needs it is a risk to them and to you. Download anything you must keep for your own records before it ages out. We are not liable for documents deleted on this schedule.

Availability

We aim to keep the app running but do not promise uninterrupted service. The app depends on Shopify, and on hosting and database providers; an outage at any of them can stop it working. The roster continues to show bookings already recorded even when Shopify is unreachable.

Ending this agreement

You may uninstall at any time. Uninstalling cancels any subscription through Shopify and, once Shopify notifies us, permanently deletes all of your store’s data — bookings, settings, map, documents and logo. This cannot be undone. Reinstalling begins from nothing.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if required by Shopify or by law. If we discontinue the app entirely we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can export what you need.

Liability

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. Roaming Travelers is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost bookings, lost revenue, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to installed merchants at least 30 days before they take effect, and the effective date below will change. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting the new terms.
